2C4C re-write the Policing Pledge!

As part of the Young Essex Assembly (YEA), the '2C4C'- 2 Clever 4 Crime subgroup has been working in partnership with Essex Police and together, have just completed the re-writing of the Policing Pledge in a version for children and young people.

To celebrate and publicise this, the police launched a 2SMART Advent Calendar in December which included all of the Policing Pledge points.

There will be an extended launch of the pledge, spread across the year.

As far as Essex Police are aware, no other force in the UK has done anything like this with the Policing Pledge and it has recently been getting a attention from the Home Office as well. It is a great achievement for some of our young people in Essex to have been a part of this.

A poster which advertises the 2SMART Policing Pledge for Children & Young People has also been created with the YEA 2C4C subgroup's input. We have recently been informed that this poster will now be used by the Police for any external media coverage.
